hitchhike_privacy_preferences records your analytics and advertising choices for up to one year. It is first-party, required to honour your decision, and is not used for advertising.
Analytics — optional
When enabled, Google Analytics and PostHog may set or use identifiers and local storage to measure page views, navigation, searches, comparisons and other directory interactions. We configure Google Analytics with IP anonymization and PostHog to create person profiles only for identified users; the directory does not ask ordinary readers to identify themselves.
Advertising — optional
Google AdSense loads only after advertising consent. It may use cookies or local storage to deliver and measure ads. This site sends advertising-storage consent separately and keeps ad personalization and ad-user-data consent denied.
Browser controls
You can change your choice below or in the footer. You may also delete cookies through your browser; doing so will cause the consent notice to appear again. Blocking all storage may affect preference persistence.
European advertising consent
Google may display its own certified consent message where required for advertising in the EEA, United Kingdom or Switzerland. That message and this site’s category controls serve different technical roles and should both be respected.
